Beauty Tip of the Day!

Whether you have luscious, curled locks or dazzling straight strands, humidity is not your friend when it comes to styling. Here are the best ways to keep your hair looking fine and free of unwanted curls and frizz as a result of moisture in the air.
Regardless of your hair type, there are a few important steps to lay a solid foundation for styling your hair. These are all important for minimizing the negative effects of humidity.
Dry Completely: It is important that your hair be completely dry before entering a humid atmosphere. If you leave your house with damp hair, it will continue to absorb moisture from the air and become limp or frizzy. When your hair is totally dry, it acts as a barrier to keep from taking in unwanted moisture.
Dry Naturally: Although blow-drying hair appeals for those of us in a hurry, the heat from the dryer fries the ends of hair. These cooked ends become kinky and frizzy in humidity, giving that unwanted "puffy" look. Instead, let hair air-dry naturally. Try showering at night and going to bed with your hair wet to help expedite your morning styling routine.
Avoid Excess Oil: Increased temperatures means that your body correspondingly increases the amount of oil it produces in your hair. When your hair is greasy, it takes longer to dry and attracts more moisture. To prevent this, wash your hair regularly and make sure it is adequately moisturized.
