How to Avoid Breakouts From Your Halloween Makeup!
First things first: If you have any current breakouts, it's best to cover them up with some acne treatment before you start drawing on your cat face: "Try to put a little anti-acne gel on it before you apply the makeup, just so you have some shot at it not being worse the next morning," says dermatologist Dr. Kavita Mariwalla.
Next, be mindful of your pores. Mariwalla advises against any peels or steam treatments that open up your pores before All Hallows Eve as doing so allows more product to seep into your skin. Instead, she recommends using a primer before you apply your makeup, to really help seal the pores off.
Also, it's important to be mindful of what you're putting on your face. While you may have an elaborate plan to pull off a Heidi Klum–esque costume, try to stick with products that are safe to use on your complexion. For instance, glue, metal paints, and red paints are harsh on skin.
Lastly, a thorough removal process is key. Use cold cream first (like Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser, $9), then following up with makeup remover and a pH-balanced soap. The next day, use an exfoliator and an anti-inflammatory mask to dig up any leftover makeup residue.

Great Natural Ways To Remove Halloween Makeup!
Great Natural Ways To Remove Halloween Makeup!
Grape Seed Oil: This lighter remover is one of my go-tos. Use a little cotton pad to soak up some grape seed goodness and you’ll be fresh-faced in no time. Multitasking tip: use grapeseed oil on your entire face to prevent acne, clear up sun spots and kick wrinkles to the curb.
Jojoba Oil: Awkward name aside, Jojoba (ho-ho-bah) means business. For makeup remover, mix 2 parts water to 1 part Jojoba oil and voilá! Say adios to those stubborn mascaras and eyeliners. I also use Jojoba oil as a moisturizer, cuticle cream, or even as a warm hair masque.

Hydrate inside and out!
Hydrate inside and out!
It's so much easier to stay hydrated in the summer – you're hot so you feel thirsty faster, not to mention feeling the need to cool off with an icy drink. But sipping regularly through the fall is important for good health and energy – and for smooth, supple skin. Trade coffee and cocktails (at least some of them) for herbal tea and water with a twist of citrus. Now is also a good time to look into a heavier moisturizer if your skin tends to be dry. Look for something that soaks in but provides skin with a layer of nourishing moisture when the colder temperatures arrive.

Get Your Skin Ready For Fall Weather!!!
Switch to creamy cleanser
As the temperatures inevitably start to dip (and eventually nosedive), the air will start to dry out and harsh wind can wreak havoc on skin. A gel cleanser is great in the summer for washing away sweat and busting up excess oil, but once cold weather hits, it's a good idea to switch to a creamier formula.

Ready, Set, Moisturize!
Ready, Set, Moisturize!
If you are trying to go natural and use products free of toxins and other artificial preservatives, you may want to consider using a natural skin moisturizer. You can either opt for homemade ingredients to take the place of a store bought moisturizer, or you can also purchase a moisturizer with organic ingredients that is safe for your skin. If you are looking to go the homemade natural skin moisturizer route, honey is an excellent natural ingredient that keeps skin hydrated and nourishes the skin. Mix a tablespoon of honey with avocado and some milk into a bowl, then apply on to skin and leave for ten minutes. Do this twice a week in order to moisturize and hydrate your face.

How to get long hair fast!
How to get long hair fast!
Adjust Your Diet
“A healthy diet that incorporates a mix of protein and nutrients can improve the condition of your hair,” says celebrity hairstylist and NYC salon owner Julien Farel. He explains that balanced eating keeps follicles strong and prevents the hair from breaking easily. Dr. Gervaise Gerstner, MD, a board-certified NYC cosmetic and medical dermatologist, advises to incorporate omega-3 oils. She says, “I recommend salmon or supplements. Nuts are a good source, too, especially almonds.”
Get Smart About Styling
It’s a fact well-acknowledged that heat can be wildly damaging to hair, especially when it’s already compromised, so limiting the use of a flat iron or curling wand to three times a week is best, says Dr. Gerstner. She also advises limiting exposure to sunlight, as it can strip the hair, and blow drying, adding, “A weekly deep conditioner masque is a good idea to keep hair as healthy as possible.” According to Farel, many hair care products include the same stripping ingredients as detergents, so it’s vital to choose wisely.
Take it Easy
Because stress can affect hair, Dr. Gerstner recommends weekly deep-tissue massages to relax body and mind. “The adrenals pump out extra cortisol when we are stressed, which leads to acne, skin inflammation, and possible hair disorders,” she says.
And you can always afford to take some time off: “Your hair is a reflection of how you feel,” says Farel. “If you are healthy, or on vacation, your hair looks great, shiny, and is easy to style.” What will our bosses say to that?
