Beauty Tip of the Day!
While gel polish may be sunshine and rainbows when it is fresh, there is a very dark side to it: removal. Just as some pick away their regular polish the second it chips, some peel off their gel the minute they lift around the edges. This is NOT good for your nails at all and causes a lot of damage. The worst part about gels is that we always have to go back to the nail salon to get them removed, which can be
annoying.
Here's a few tips to take your own gel polish off at home!
You'll need cotton, foil, and acetone.
1. Soak the cotton balls in acetone.
2. Place the soaked cotton on each nail. Firmly wrap the foil
around each nail to secure the cotton on top of your nail.
3. Let it soak for about 10 minutes.
4. Remove the foil from your fingers and use the cotton to then
wipe away any access gel that may be left on your nail bed.
5. Buff the tops of your nails and file.
